In our Working together in a virtual world lesson my cadremates and I contributed to a Collaborite Story. We use the tools of Google Docs to work in a cloud setting to develop our story. We were also given the option to complete assignments using Google applications. I choose to complete an online gradebook and a survey using Google forms.

The assignments for this week's lesson were very helpful real classroom activities. These activities gave me the opportunity to work through the process of using these applications. I have some experiece with Google Forms but never had the opportunity to create a working gradebook. These activities are tangible goods that I can bring back to my school as I assist teachers with integrating technology.

 

 



 



 

 

 

 

A-Ha’s
                      …..what I learned using Google Docs and Spreadsheets:

  • you must create a Google account to use Google applications.

  • You can create new documents or upload an existing file. 

  • You can email a document to add to Google Drive.

  • You become the owner of documents created.

  • You can invite collaborators and viewers to your created documents.

  • Multiple people can view a Google docs file simultaneously.
