…..what I learned creating my video tutorial:

  • creating video tutorials requires planning and proper setup

  • preparing a script will help the dialogue move smoothly

  • take the extra time needed to test your computers’ audio and video

  • clean up your desktop and remove any personal pictures and backgrounds

  • make sure to be aware of the output file type being created

In our Can you hear me now lesson we continued our learning of Google Hangouts. I met my cadremates for a chat involving hangouts. In our Google Hangout meeting Kathryn, Jennifer, Michelle and I had fun using this cool tech tool. In our hangout we shared our thoughts on using a tool like hangout to create learning for our students, combining the power behind video driven instruction, and personal preferences over Google Hangouts versus Skype. In was interesting sharing our thoughts and experiences using both tools?  We all preferred Google Hangouts over Skype for various reasons mostly due to school’s security policies. We concluded agreeing that tools like Google Hangouts and Skype can extend learning in the classroom.
Here you will find the link to our recorded hangout. Google Hangout
