Course Introduction
Course Objectives
The objectives of this course are to develop cadremates learning and understanding of digital communications. To explore and learn the skills needed to create a website while exhibiting collaboration with our professor and peers.
We will demonstrate the ability to grow as professionals by sharing and exploring telecommunications in the classroom. The goal of this course is to explore new and up-and-coming technology tools to complete our course project and learn valuable tools to develop our profession.
This course is designed to engage students to investigate, collaborate and give insight through the exploration of digital communication tools. We focused on current trends in classroom digital tools and use a digital forum to implement classroom activities.
APA & Citations
In our course introduction, we viewed a video lesson using APA formatting. As we reviewed the basics of APA Style tutorial we listed a few A-Ha’s in our discussion forum. To give us practice we shared results of an online APA Tutorial Quiz. Another valuable resource to provide handy tips to APA formatting is The Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL). These valuable resources will assist in our efforts to properly cite our resources of information.
Skype
Skype has grown to become a favorite among classroom digital tools. Teachers everywhere use Skype as a digital tool to engage students. Skype empowers students to leap forward and communicate with others outside of their school building. Skype in the classroom offers student resources to explore outside the walls of the classroom. We as educators must provide the plan for students to collaborate using a tool like Skype.
